Junior High & High School Student Ministries
Our goal in the eNLiveN (NLN) Student Ministries (7th - 12th grades) is to offer a safe space for teens to share in relationship with one another while learning about the love of God and how the message of the Bible can be walked out in their lives. Our theme verse is: I Timothy 4:10 - "We have our hope set on the LIVING God, who is the Savior of all people." The pre-teen/teen years can be challenging to navigate and having a place of hope as we tackle life is crucial for future success. While we do a lot just with our students, our aim is also to include the family where possible so that everyone in the family is supported as we walk through this challenging season in life.
We would love to see you and your family at an eNLiveN (NLN) Youth event!
Why do I keep posting NLN? Because that is the abbreviation for our group, if you see those three letters you know what we are talking about!
Your first time visiting an eNLiveN event can differ based on what you first come to.
We meet in room 108 which is located on the North side of the building off the Parking Lot on Douglas Ave.
Our regular meeting times are on Sundays.
9am is a small group that meets and goes through the Bible with the Gospel Project. This is a great, laid back time to learn more about the Bible. This group is led through a small team of volunteers who love our group. Each volunteer is passionate about helping teenagers and is required to do a background check.
5:30pm is our Dinner & Devo time. We have dinner together and share in some devotional time. We also have fun whether just by talking and hanging out to playing games or pool or even just watching silly You Tube videos. This is a great time to get together each other and its a great place to bring friends. We meet for two hours so there is still time to go home at 7:30pm and get any homework done before school the next day.
We also have events each month that either focus around community service or group connection. You can get more information by checking out our calendar or visiting our Facebook Group. While we have both parents and teens in our Facebook Group, more parents connect there!
Carrie Guy has been our Youth Pastor since 2003. She moved here from Westminster, Colorado, where she worked for Doulos Ministries, an organization that works with troubled teens. Carrie is a graduate of Texas Christian University, with a degree in Communication, and oversees all Junior High and High School programs. She is married and has four children.
If you decide to join us on one of our events or trips off-campus, be sure to fill out a Permission Form and an Emergency Contact Form - we like to share our experiences on Facebook and beyond so be sure to also fill out a Photo Permission Form as well! We have a lot of fun and learn a lot but safety is crucial to our group success!!! We need a permission form for each event but only need an updated Emergency Contact Form once a year (unless you have a life change that changes the information on the form).
